Miss Southern Charm is a 4 part pageant that emphasizes poise, leadership, & community service. Our Southern Beauties in the making (ages 0 to 7) will compete only in Beauty Wear. All other ages will compete in Interview, Evening Wear, On-Stage Question, & Community Service. All contestants must be of good academic standing, as well.

How it works:

Evening Wear 40%
Purpose: to showcase poise, confidence, & stage presence
Criteria: confidence & posture, poise & grace, appropriateness & elegance of dress, overall presentation & impact

Interview 30%
Purpose: assesses communication skills, personality, & ability to answer thoughtfully
Criteria: clarity & articulation, confidence & composure under pressure, knowledge of current events, issues, & pageant topics, personality & connection with judges, present as well-rounded, responsible, & engaging

On-Stage Question 10%
Purpose: evaluates ability to think on your feet & deliver a coherent, articulate response spontaneously
Criteria: ability to answer clearly & confidently, poise & composure, relevance & thoughtfulness, demonstrate leadership, confidence, & communication

Community Service 20%
Purpose: emphasizes commitment to service, leadership, & social responsibility
Criteria: depth & quality o service, passion, impact, involvement (ongoing vs. one time), & leadership in efforts
